CAMP INFORMATION

REGISTRATION BEGINS FEBRUARY 15 FOR

KVTA'S YOUTH SUMMER THEATRE CAMP!

KVTA's 2026 Youth Summer Theatre Camp presents A SALUTE TO AMERICA, CELEBRATING THE 250th BIRTHDAY OF AMERICA! Every camper will be a part of this musical revue which will take us through the history of America. We will be putting on a fun show with singing, dancing, and character portrayals, as well as learning theatre skills, plus having fun! This year there will be three camp sessions to choose from.

SESSIONS:

Session 1: Morning – 9am-Noon
Session 2: Afternoon – 1pm-4pm
Session 3: Evening – 6pm-9pm
All sessions are June 15-26, 2026 – Monday through Friday at the KVTA Studios (1 Stuart Dr Kankakee)

PERFORMANCES:
Session 1: Saturday, June 27, at 2 pm
Session 2: Saturday, June 27, at 6 pm
Session 3: Sunday, June 28 at 2 pm

Space is limited to 25 campers for each session. A waiting list may be started once all sessions are filled. NOTE: Sessions usually fill up right away. Don’t delay signing up!

CAMP REGISTRATION PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

PART 1

COMPLETE THE ONLINE GOOGLE REGISTRATION FORM - THIS SAVES US TIME AND ENSURES WE HAVE ALL OF THE CORRECT INFORMATION FOR YOUR CAMPER.

PART 2

COMPLETE YOUR PAYMENT ONLINE BY 10 PM ON SUNDAY, MARCH 1. YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED TO SUBMIT YOUR PAYMENT UPON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF YOUR GOOGLE FORM. YOUR RESERVATION WILL NOT BE CONFIRMED UNTIL YOUR PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE IN FULL. A CONFIRMATION EMAIL WILL BE SENT TO YOU BY TUESDAY, MARCH 3, TO CONFIRM YOUR REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT.

ONCE A SESSION IS FULL, YOU WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO COMPLETE THE GOOGLE REGISTRATION FORM. IF YOU RECEIVE A MESSAGE THAT THE REGISTRATIONS ARE FULL, PLEASE EMAIL OUR KVTA CAMP COORDINATOR @ camp@kvta.org TO BE PLACED ON OUR WAIT LIST.

Campers are expected to attend all days of camp, including tech day, and their assigned performance.
Eligible Age: Campers must be 8 and no older than 17 by the first day of camp (June 15, 2026).
Price: $200 non-refundable fee. Deadline for registration is March 1 or until the camp is full, whichever comes first.
Campers must choose one session: #1 ~ 9am-Noon; #2 ~ 1pm-4pm; #3 6pm-9pm
On Saturday, June 27, session 1 campers will perform at 2 pm; Session 2 campers will perform at 6 pm; On Sunday, June 28, session 3 campers will perform at 2 pm.
Each camper receives a free Summer Camp t-shirt.
Campers can bring their own water bottle every day, if needed. No water will be provided.
Camp families will be able to purchase 5 tickets at the first meeting before they are offered to the public.
A placement audition will be held for all campers to determine which role each camper will be cast in.
Campers will be sent audition information prior to the auditions.
Scripts and specific parts will be given out at the mandatory parent/guardian/cast meeting that will be held on TBD.
Dates for the auditions and the mandatory meeting are yet to be determined. Dates will be sent to the registered camp participants sometime in March.
Campers should have music memorized as much as possible by the first day of camp so they can concentrate on learning choreography, improving their vocal performance, working on their characterization, participating in theatre games, developing friendships, etc.

All participants, onstage or offstage, will be required to sign KVTA's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Social Media, and Sexual Harassment Policies. An Emergency Card and Waiver of Liability must also be completed and signed in order to participate. These forms will be distributed when you first volunteer with KVTA. CAMP VOLUNTEER INFORMATION:

Running a theatre camp and putting on a performance requires many people. We are looking for volunteers to assist with one or both camps. We need parents/adults who can help us one day or every day during camp. Volunteers help with kid patrol, costumes, make-up, props, set construction/decorating, stage crew, etc.
