GENERAL TERM INFORMATION: 

Board Members serve for two years on staggering terms. Seven board members are elected each June. Officers are appointed each year by the sitting board.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO BE A BOARD MEMBER? 

Members in good standing are eligible to become a board member and/or chairman of a standing committee.

WHAT IS A MEMBER IN GOOD STANDING?

Members in good standing are those who have paid their current year general membership dues by May 31; or are presently VIP, Thespian, Dress Circle, or Patron members; and have attained the age of eighteen (18) years; and have participated in preparation for or production of one (1) or more Kankakee Valley Theatre Association productions or other KVTA sponsored activities in the current fiscal year excluding ushering. Members in good standing shall be the only members allowed to govern this organization and vote for the Board of Directors. Members in good standing may serve on or be the director of any standing committee.

HOW DO YOU BECOME A BOARD MEMBER?   

Each year the President selects three current board members and two general members to form the nominating committee. These five individuals will contact prospective individuals about running for the board. If you are a member in good standing (see above) and are interested, please express your interest to one of the KVTA board members.
