Based on the original Broadway production that ran for over thirteen years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, and the Academy Award-winning motion picture, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR. is a fantastic adaptation of the story of transformation and tolerance. Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR. features some of the most popular songs ever written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice.
The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST JR CAST LIST
All those cast in Beauty and the Beast JR are required to become a KVTA member at some level (minimum $25) by a certain date during the rehearsal process. One parent being a member of KVTA does cover the membership requirement for all family members 17 and under. Memberships paid during the 2021-2022 season will also fulfill this requirement.
PLEASE NOTE: Following the updated Health Department recommendations, the KVTA Board of Directors has decided that effective immediately, masks should be worn by anyone entering the KVTA Studios, regardless of vaccine status. Please arrive at your audition time with a mask on.

*While we are cautiously optimistic about the future of our 2021-2022 season, the KVTA Board of Directors has decided NOT to proceed with school show performances of Beauty and the Beast JR. Instead, we will offer four public performances. School show performances for our spring 2022 production of Mary Poppins JR. will be re-evaluated in December of 2021.*

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS:
If your child is cast in the production a parent will be required...

To become a general member of KVTA ($25 minimum).

To attend the parent meeting on Tuesday, September 14 at the KVTA Studios at 6:30 p.m.

To complete 10 hours of volunteer time for each child in your family that is cast.

To schedule a costume appointment time during the week of September 13-19.
