TO THE PARENTS:

We have the opportunity to cast many auditioners in various ensemble roles, some of which do not appear on stage as often. If you are not interested in the possibility of your auditioner being cast in a smaller role with possibly only two appearances on stage, please reconsider auditioning for this production. The various ensemble roles have a different number of appearances on stage, so they may appear more often once we know how many auditioners we will cast in this production. We assure you that each cast member will have a wonderful experience in this production; however, we understand if you’d prefer to have your auditioner appear onstage more often. Cast members that are not in certain scenes would definitely not have to attend those rehearsals in the beginning weeks. Once we begin running the full show, then cast members will need to be there the entire rehearsal time. This process of running the full show would not happen until the last few weeks of rehearsals. An exact date when that would happen cannot be provided at this time as it will depend on how well the cast members pick up the vocals, dances, and blocking. We will be flexible though and do our best to make sure we are only calling for the full cast when it is absolutely necessary.

September and October rehearsals will be 2 to 3 times per week. November rehearsals might be every night, depending on how well the cast is doing at that time. We may add some weekend rehearsals, if necessary. That has not been finalized yet, but we want you to be aware of this before you grant your child permission to complete the audition process. Rehearsal dates are subject to change.

Weeknight rehearsals will typically start around 5:30 or 6:00 p.m. depending on the staffs' schedules. Rehearsals would last until approximately 8:00 p.m. during school nights (excluding Fridays). We would hope to end earlier if rehearsals started at 5:30 p.m. On Fridays, we may rehearse longer as we like to have a little extra time when the cast members won't have to be up early for school the next day. The days of the week will also depend on the staff and cast members' availability once we see the conflict calendars after casting. If several cast members have Wednesday conflicts for example, we would look to other days with less conflicts. Therefore, the days of the week for rehearsals could also vary. We want to have the entire cast at ALL of our final rehearsals, so please be open and honest when completing your auditioner’s conflict calendar. Please be sure to fill out all of the conflicts for your child from the audition date through the final performance date. If you have any questions about the information provided here, please ask ahead of time by emailing the Director at kvtafrozen@gmail.com.

All those cast in Disney's Frozen JR. are required to become a KVTA member at some level (minimum $25) by a certain date during the rehearsal process. One parent being a member of KVTA does cover the membership requirement for any child or children.

Break A Leg!

Sincerely,

The Staff of Frozen JR.
