Get ready to be swept into 1960's Baltimore where the 50's are over and there is a change brewing. Our heroine, Tracy Turnblad, a plus-sized beauty, has a passion for dancing. Luck has it that the "Corny Collins Show" is advertising a "dance off" for a coveted spot on their popular dance show. Just like "that," Tracy has the opportunity to go from being an "outsider" to being a teen celebrity.
