KVTA Announces the Cast of CATS

Come and be a part of a “Memory” that will last a lifetime when Kankakee Valley Theatre Association presents the musical, CATS, on Saturday, April 24th, Friday, April 30th, and Saturday, May 1st at 7:00 p.m. and on Sunday, April 25th and Sunday, May 2nd at 2:00 p.m. at Lincoln Cultural Center in Kankakee.
The CATS that are dancing and singing by the light of the Jellicle moon in the junkyard are Niko Pagsisihan (Munkustrap), Justin Marrier (Rum Tum Tugger), Jacquelyn Sarowatz (Mr. Mistoffelees/Mystique), Alex Koerner (Skimbleshanks), Stacie Knefelkamp (Jellylorum/Griddlebone), Jamie Jensen (Rumpleteazer), Cassandra Blanchette (Victoria), Derrick Weatherford (Alonzo), Josh Hedding (Coricopat/Ghengis), Casey Koerner (Electra), Wesley Taylor (Macavity/Pit Singer) and Don Parkison (Pit Singer) of Bourbonnais; Erica Simmons (Exotica) of Bradley; Veronica Kravat (Jemima) of Chebanse; Brad Senffner (Gus/Growltiger) of Clifton; Jeff Vaughn (Deuteronomy), Angela Williams (Bombalurina), Kendra Demarah (Demeter), Jillian Glazar (Cassandra), Arielle Dykstra (Tantomile), Hillary Vaughn (Etcetera), Alex Hamilton (Tumblebrutus) and Kate Cloonen (Pit Singer) of Kankakee; Brandon Provost (Mungojerrie) and Jeff Hall (Carbuckety) of Manteno; Kena Clark (Grizabella) and Brian Zecher (Bustopher Jones) of Milford; Kimra Anderson (Jennyanydots) and Vince Guastalli (Quaxo) of St. Anne.
Crawling across the stage as kittens will be Gianna Kohl (Pixie), Mia Morris (Piper), and Bryce Porter (Paisley) of Bourbonnais; Payton Kohl (Periwinkle) of Bradley, Eve Ritsema (Precious) of Kankakee; Karl Roth (Patches) and Kelly Roth (Pepper) of Martinton.
The production staff of CATS includes Sharon Richardson, Director; Brad Senffner, Assistant Director; Ryan Schultz, Vocal Director; Robin Tober-Betourne, Choreographer; Karla Breitenbucher, Production Coordinator; Nancy Coghlan, Costumer; Jan Glazar, Make-up/Wigs; Julie Gindy, Set Designer/Set Decorator and Jeff Pettet, Set Builder.
Tickets are now available by mail. An order form can be downloaded from the KVTA website at www.kvta.org. The order form and payment can be mailed to: KVTA, P.O. Box 744, Kankakee, IL 60901. Please enclose a self addressed, stamped envelope so your tickets can be returned to you, otherwise they will be held at Will Call. Tickets may also be ordered by phone by calling 1-815-935-8510. Tickets will be held at Will Call up to 15 minutes before performance time. If they are not picked up by then, they will be released to the general public. Children under the age of three are not permitted at performances. This production is partially funded by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council.






YPT Announces the Cast of Seussical Jr.

Cat in the Hat, One Fish Two Fish, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, and Horton Hears A Who. We've read these books, page by dog-eared page. Now these fantastical characters will come alive on the stage when Kankakee Valley Theatre Association's Young Peoples Theatre presents Seussical Jr. This fun-filled family show will be presented on March 27 at 7:00 pm and March 28 at 2:00 pm at Lincoln Cultural Center in Kankakee.

Leading the cast will be Cody Gindy (Cat in the Hat), Gage Patterson (Horton), and Jace Pettet (JoJo) of Bourbonnais; Jordan Thornton (Sour Kangaroo) of Bradley; Abigail Crane (Gertrude McFuzz) and Ryan Marcotte (Mr. Mayor) of Herscher; Allyson Beckman (Young Kangaroo) and Morgan O'Connor (Mrs. Mayor) of Kankakee; and Olivia Guastalli (Mayzie) of St. Anne.

Cast as supporting roles are Nathan Pranger (Thing 2) and Luke Musgrave (Yertle the Turtle/Vlad Vladikoff/Grinch) of Bourbonnais and Theodore Kohan (Thing 1) of St. Anne.

The Bird Girls will be portrayed by Kaylee Breitenbucher and Gretchen Fischer of Bourbonnias; Beth Marcotte of Herscher; and Elizabeth Coghlan, Nora Coghlan, and Noelle Hannay of Kankakee.

Playing the Wickersham Brothers will be Damen Whittington of Beaverville; Daryon Cureton and Santiago Stenzinger of Bourbonnais; Blake Clatterbuck of Donovan; Drew Marcotte of Herscher; and Cade Turro of Kankakee. Young Wickersham is Thomas Musgrave of Bourbonnais.

Portraying Who's/Jungle Citizens are Lindsey Benson, Elana Ferris, Nicole Haas, Buddy Miller, Kayla Parkison, Jonah Pettet, Allie Schweigert, and Ellen Stephens of Bourbonnais; Sammi Green of Bonfield; Jenna Mullinax and Tyler Thornton of Bradley; Jordan Emling of Herscher; and Celeste Hannay of Kankakee.

The Who's/Circus People will be brought to life by Kelsey Crosswell, Allison O'Gorman, Emily Richmond, and Madigan Spenard of Bourbonnais; Georgia Jones of Bradley; Samantha Murphy and Stephanie Orr of Gilman; Anna Beckman, Mary Dunleavy, Dylan Harris, and Ellie Nighswander of Kankakee; Mark Henderson and Stephen Yantes of Manteno; and Emily Petitgoue of St. Anne.

The Who's/Hunters will played by Joshua Varner of Bourbonnais; Tom Fraser, Isabella Schnitzler, and McKenzey Testerman of Manteno; and Owen Heuring of Watseka.
