Young Peoples Theatre
presents

Written by
Virginia Glasgow Koste
There have been versions of this story widely produced and
enjoyed by children and adults for years. This beloved story is broadened
by Mark Twain, as the storyteller, who preserves the classic language as he
relives his boyhood.
Precisely, we follow Tom's antics and inner conflicts as
he enterprises his way through skipping school, whitewashing the fence and
showing his bravery as a young man in a tough world. Tom proves his
manhood during the events that follow a graveyard murder, the railroading of an
innocent man and a dramatic trial.
Along the way, we escape with him and his companions into
the playworld of Jackson Island. We are privileged to attend the happiest
funeral in all literature as the boyish "drowned" listen to their own eulogies.
