This musical version of State Fair is very similar to the Jeanne Crain and Dick Haymes Movie Version of 1946.  It is NOT like the Pat Boone Version.

It is preferable to attend both audition nights if at all possible. Come dressed appropriately for dancing.  Wear shoes that you can dance in.

Everyone auditioning will be asked to dance.  Everyone will read from the script.

Music that will be sung will be from “It’s a Grand Night for Singing” measures 32-47, along with “All I Owe Ioway”  Measures 138-154 in 4 parts.

Other songs may be used, but we will teach you those songs as needed.  Everyone will sing the above songs.

Everyone, come with a list of any conflicts from August 18-October 19.  Practices will be 4-5 nights at week from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 or 9:00 p.m. Please note if your conflicts can be worked around.  Conflicts will not prevent you from being cast.  It only helps to work out a schedule.

Final casting will be announced on Saturday, time depending on if there are callbacks or not.  Cast list will be posted on the front door at the KVTA Warehouse on Lowe Road.  It will be listed on www.kvta.org, but not until the next week.

Read through will be on Tuesday August 19th at 6:30 P.M. at the KVTA Warehouse on Lowe Road and Rt. 17.

For more information call Pat Ward at 815-937-9281 (Days) or Cindi Hannay 815-937-5994. The best way would be to e-mail at pward51@yahoo.com  or schannay@aol.com subject State Fair.

Read through the script at your local library.
