Stage Adaptation by
Dean Pitchford & Walter Bobbie
Music by Tom Snow
Lyrics by Dean Pitchford Set in the 1980s, this
is a high-spirited American tale of a rebellious teenager who makes good.
Ren and his mother move from big-city Chicago to small-town Bomont, where
popular music and dancing are illegal.
Ren battles the town council to abolish this ban,
revitalizing the spirit of the repressed townspeople. This show features
high-energy dancing and an Oscar nominated soundtrack, including "Let's Hear it
for the Boy," "Holding Out for a Hero," "Almost Paradise" and "Footloose," the
title song we all love.
